Lit by Maia (Granddaughter) 18th May 2020
I remember Grandma as a kind and generous woman with so much love to give. She would always empty her cupboards as soon as we arrived and put the kettle on, making sure we all had everything we could possibly need. Yes, biscuits are a need, and I am so glad to have been taught this by her at a young age. When she went to her first care home with Grandad, I started making the tea and getting out the biscuits, or making her dinner, in return for her watching over me whilst I played at the park nearby once school had ended. She would stand by her fence and feed the birds, whilst checking I was safe. Once I would come back she would always have certain things with dinner, and these habits I have taken forward into my own life. For example, salt on her peas, or bread and butter with every and all meals, (as there is nothing it does not go with). She also taught me to be generous and put others before myself and smile always. I will miss her and love her, and always remember her.
